Graft-versus-host disease (GvHD) is a syndrome, characterized by inflammation in different organs, with the specificity of epithelial cell apoptosis and crypt drop out. GvHD is commonly associated with bone marrow transplants and stem cell transplants. [Source: Wikipedia ]
